Razer Wants To Turn Its Gaming Phone Into A Laptop

The Razer Phone launched back in November to a fairly positive reception.

Project Linda also has a 53.6 Wh internal battery that can fully charge the docked Razer phone three times without AC power. Naturally, this dock has been designed exclusively with the Razer Phone in mind, though support for other phones is possible according to the company.

Project Linda is basically the shell of the Blade Stealth, so it's very lightweight and thin, although it is about half an inch thicker than the Blade Stealth. The 5.7-inch glass display on the Razer Phone becomes the combined device's trackpad and its front-facing Dolby speakers provide sound. You have to think about your computing loadout: for many, that consists of a smartphone and a laptop. Let Razer know if you're ready to throw money directly at their face, and it might happen!

To dock the Razer Phone into the laptop, you simply nestle it into the slot where the touchpad goes and press a button on the keyboard, which makes a USB Type-C dongle pop out and poke itself into the Razer Phone's port. And the Razer Phone's 120Hz refresh rate translates to smooth visuals on the larger 13.3-inch laptop's display as well.

Milner made no mistake with the spot-kick as he dispatched the ball past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford with confidence. The breakthrough came five minutes after the half-hour mark when Liverpool were awarded a penalty by referee Bobby Madley.

Being the first device that officially supports both premium HDR10 and 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus, the Razer Phone will be given access to a special version of the Android Netflix app that enables users to enjoy the full scope of the two audio and video formats on their devices. At the same time, this is Android and an ARM-based processor we are talking about, so it's not like anyone could use this for games on Steam. It connects with the smartphone's USB-C port and allows the Razer Phone to connect to additional accessories, like a hub.

When docked, the interface switches to a more traditional laptop-style one, complete with a taskbar. Don't get too excited, it is not a commercial product yet, Razer is unveiling it as a concept.

Razer has announced a new software update will begin rolling out later this month to the Razer Phone that will let users take full advantage of the media-consuming technology onboard.
