Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Jan 8: A massive fire broke out on Monday at Mumbai Sessions Court premises, located in the southern part of the city.

Overall, one good news is coming that there were no injuries or casualties till now and everyone is safe for now.

After one hour of struggle, the fire was brought under control with no reports of mishappening in the incident.

Seven fire engines and four water tankers were rushed to the studio to control the fire.

According to fire officials, the fire erupted at about 7 am.

A short circuit at a power generation unit in the studio reportedly set off the blaze, which is described as a Level 3 fire. However, since it was early morning, there were not much people and later even the court operations in the day went on without any disturbance. And on December 29, 14 people, mostly young women, were killed in a fire at a trendy rooftop pub in Mumbai's Kamala Mills complex. "Nearly 150 people had been evacuated", said deputy chief fire officer Shyam Kharbade.
