Eagles' Nick Foles (rest) done for the day after one quarter

The Eagles now own a 13-2 record and have achieved every possible goal a team had for the regular season.

The injury bug has gotten the Eagles pretty good this year, with star players such as Jordan Hicks out for the year with an Achilles injury and Darren Sproles, Jason Peters, and Carson Went done for the year with ACL injuries. If nothing else, it would help erase a shaky performance against the Oakland Raiders last week.

Both Jones, aside from trying to tackle Ezekiel Elliott on a 16-yard run in the second quarter, and Sudfeld actually played well.

But Sunday's regular-season finale against Dallas affords Jones an opportunity to play in a game that lacks typical significance to find his NFL.

Players with any lingering injuries will most likely not play. If that's not a marvelous regular season, then I don't know what is. Brandon Graham seemed to hurt his ankle Monday and is already out for Sunday's game. With Joe Walker heading to injured reserve, there are whispers that Sidney Jones might be ready to go on Sunday.

Italian Brothers Beat Apple in Court, Allowed to Name Company 'Steve Jobs'

"I think that's foolish on my part".

The Eagles have had one 50-yard rusher in the past two games. They have a first-round bye and get to rest and scheme while their next opponent toils in the wild-card round. He followed poor throws to his receivers with taking big sacks and the Eagles were consistently punting from near their own end zone. It's more than time to turn him loose. Foles' elbow may still be bothering him. No reason to risk further injury.

On offense, expect to see the Eagles go very pass heavy early on to try to get Foles into a rhythm. This year, it is the Eagles who are 13-2 and have the No. 1 seed in hand, while the Cowboys will not be apart of the NFC playoffs this January.

Theres always a fine line for coaches of teams that have top playoff spots locked up this time of year. Going against the Eagles backups for most of the game should make their day easier, but don't sleep on the Eagles backups on defense. The idea was to build a little confidence and momentum to carry into the playoffs. They are still trying to find their footing with a new quarterback.

With one week left in 2017 NFL season, numerous league's elite team's have already chose to rest their starters for the playoffs.
