Tough night in Miami for Brady, Patriots

The Dolphins play the Bills in two of their final three games, including Sunday at Buffalo.

Brady's arm strength was lacking.

The New England Patriots were rolling and on a collision course with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15, with the victor taking the inside track toward home field advantage in the playoffs.

After getting his first career 100-yard rushing performance in the National Football League a week ago versus Denver, he returned on Monday Night Football with a season-high 25 carries against New England.

Miami Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry thought it was relevant to celebrate his touchdown against the New England Patriots with a reference to Deflategate, a ball deflating scandal from the AFC championship after the 2014 season. Unfortunately for New England, the Dolphins loss takes that away. This Sunday at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh welcomes the Pats in what could be a matchup between 2017 division champions and clubs with identical records.

He was the best player on the field on Monday night. On the first, he didn't have the juice to drive the ball to Brandin Cooks, and Howard stepped in front of the route.

Brady came into the game with only four interceptions all season.

Even with the loss, New England is 16-4 in its past 20 night games.

Off nights are to be expected, even for a player of Brady's caliber.

If he rebounds with a big night against the Steelers, we can all forget that it ever happened. Nikola Mirotic got into a fight at practice with Bobby Portis and had to miss more than 20 games as a result. However, if the issues persist, it might be time to examine more seriously.
