Mariah's mother told the Onslow County Sheriff's Office that she last saw her daughter at their home, at 2404 Dawson Cabin Road in Jacksonville, on Sunday night when she put her to bed.
The FBI is now working with state and local authorities in order to locate the missing girl, according to ABC affiliate WCTI. "We want to find Mariah and bring her back", Miller said. "She's my baby, she's my everything", the child's mother, Kristy Woods, said.
"If anybody knows where she's at or has any information, please call the sheriff's department or notify anybody", Woods said. "Please just bring her back safe and sound - she's my baby, she's my everything". "Just to be able to touch her and hold her and not let her go again, I'd give anything".
Officials with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that Woods reported her daughter missing about 6 a.m. Monday and asked anyone with information to contact authorities.
Mariah is a white female, approximately 2 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 30 pounds.
Speaking to the community, officials said the best way to help was to search familiar areas for any clues that could help law enforcement in their search.
Scores of officers and K-9 units combed the area, and helicopters and a drone buzzed overhead as the search stretched into a third day.
