Previously, Fear the Walking Dead co-creator and showrunner Dave Erickson had said there would never be a crossover between the shows, but Erickson has since left the show and Scott Gimple has joined the spin-off as a consulting executive producer.

It's hard to guess who Morgan will meet from Fear The Walking Dead, as the season three finale left most characters' lives hanging in the balance.

It's Lennie James, going from The Walking Dead to Fear the Walking Dead. Though many didn't know who at the time we do know now as it was announced on Talking Dead tonight, The Walking Dead character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) will cross over to Fear the Walking Dead!

The Walking Dead crossover character has been revealed. "The Walking Dead" tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, and follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.

AMC's The Walking Dead is set to see one series regular jump to spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead. Leaving that cast, leaving that crew...

Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick also read a message from Gimple saying that, "Even though Morgan is going to be featured on Fear, he still has a lot of story left on The Walking Dead". "It was also very important to see the characters and the history of Fear through a new perspective that is at the same time familiar". In the meantime, The Walking Dead's eighth season continues every Sunday on AMC.

It will be fascinating going forward to find out precisely how this switcheroo will work. Not many people thought of Morgan at the time. The prequel series' action seems to be headed toward Texas-far from the Atlanta base where we first found Morgan and the rest of the Walking Dead cast. Fear takes places around the gap between Seasons 1 and 2, so it could show us more of Morgan between his departure from and first reunion with Rick. Like speculating on how Morgan's Walking Dead exit could possibly set up his move to Fear the Walking Dead.
