Vasco Da Gama Patna Express Derails in Uttar Pradesh state near Manikpur railway station.

The commissioner of railway safety (North-East circle) SK Pandey will conduct a probe into the derailment of Vasco Da Gama-Patna Express at Manikpur and Allahabad on November 28 and 29 respectively. The train derailment also caused problems for other trains running on the same route, while the railway department is in full swing working towards a solution. Three passengers died and nine were injured in the train accident. The accident which occurred at the Manikpur station in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh. The improper welding of track's joint and oxidised track was said to be reasons behind the derailment.

According to the police, two passengers were died and eight have been injured in the accident.
