Three LeT militants killed in J&K

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, all of them Pakistani nationals, were killed in Wuchar area in northern Kashmir's Handwara on Tuesday in an encounter with security forces early, police said.

Khan said government forces were battling a few militants trapped in the area.

According to police records, 194 militants have been killed this year, the highest figure in the past decade.

An Indian Army jawan was killed and three others have suffered bullet injuries in a fierce gunbattle between the militants and joint security forces in Gujarpati North Kashmir's Kupwara district. "Three Pakistani LeT terrorists were killed, arms and ammunition were recovered", IG Munir Khan told news agency ANI.
