"Reputation" debut sales sum is the largest sales week for any album since the week ending November 26, 2015, when Adele's "25" bowed with a Nielsen Music-era one-week record of 3.378 million copies.

This makes Tay Tay's new baby the biggest album debut of 2017, beating out album releases by other popular artists like Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Sam Smith and Niall Horan.

Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated "Reputation" album just under two weeks ago and it is already well on its way to becoming the biggest album of the year. Including track equivalent albums (TEAs) pushes Reputation's total to 1.238 million copies, Swift's second-best debut after falling short of 1989's 1.287 million opening week copies.

Taylor Swift's newly released album Reputation has put up some big numbers.

In addition to Billboard No. 1- Nielsen Music have stated that Taylor Swift's new work of the album is topping the charts and its sell is more than the rest of this week's Billboard 200 chart combined. Reputation's digital sales figure is particularly noteworthy, considering the digital version of the album was sold exclusively through the iTunes Store and Swift's official website during its first week. That's the biggest week for a physical album since Adele's 25 sold 1.03 million copies on CD and vinyl LP in the week ending December 24, 2015 - its fifth week of release. She also, somewhat controversially, created a promotion where fans who bought multiple copies of the album increased their chances of getting tickets to her upcoming tour, thus further driving sales.
