New teaser offers first glimpse into 'Fantastic Beasts' sequel, reveals title

That doesn't mean that Grindelwald has attained invincibility, for we know he was in possession of the wand in 1945 when Dumbledore finally defeated him.

The sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them has been announced by Warner Bros.

It was only a matter of time before the sequel's details were made public. His friend-turned-enemy, Grindlewald, can be seen holding the elder wand - which every "Harry Potter" fan should recognise - on the far right. As it also turns out, his older brother Theseus, played by new addition to the cast Callum Turner, is engaged to Leta LeStrange.

In one year, return to the Wizarding World with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

It's intriguing that Kravitz's character shares a surname with supervillain Bellatrix Lestrange, played in the main Harry Potter films by Helena Bonham Carter.

Stars of the first film, Redmayne, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, will reprise their roles in the second movie.

A moving image similar to those hanging in the halls of Hogwarts revealed the first look at the expanded cast, which includes Jude Law as young Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as his rival (and maybe lover?) Grindelwald.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne).

The movie, which is being shot at Warner Bros.
