The YouTube TV app is available for smart TVs, gaming consoles and even streaming devices. Following its rapid expansion across the US since its April debut, Google's popular competitor to Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, Hulu Live TV, and DirecTV Now, is available to two-thirds of the USA, including the top 50 metro areas, the company also notes. However, the launch was limited by the fact that the service was primarily focused on watching content from a smartphone or tablet. It will also reach LG, Samsung, and Sony smart TVs, as well as Apple TV "in the coming weeks".
The app will enable users to control the live TV experience with their TV's remote control or game controller. There are now a variety of ways to watch TV right on your mobile devices. The app background has been made dark on TVs for a cinematic look.
