Padmavati trailer review and audience reaction

MUMBAI-The first trailer of one of the most anticipated films of this year, "Padmavati", is out and as expected, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus promises to be a heady cocktail of passion and power.

The film stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, the ruler of Delhi Sultanate and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh of Chittor.

Well, after the breathtakingly awesome trailer, even we are dying to watch "Padmavati" on December 1.

Well, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has definitely been successful in creating an unmatched buzz for his period drama. The trailer screams of grandness on every scale.The attention to detail is something that Bhansali always takes care of and the characters and the setting of the story look authentic.

Although Deepika plays the titular role of Padmavati in the film, the trailer does not have much for her to showcase. The movie is an epic war saga between Maharawal Ratan Singh & Alauddin Khilji & 1303 AD was the first time when both of them faced off each other.

When asking the fans who watched this latest trailer, said, "the Padmavati trailer will give you goosebumps".

Shot with the signature Sanjay Leela Bhansali style of storytelling, the film oozes history and intricacy.

The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh and Raza Murad in key roles.
