NBA To Change All-Star Game Format

According to USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt, the National Basketball Association will eliminate conference designations for the actual All-Star Game and have two captains, the leading vote-getters from each conference, pick their teams.

The NBA has eliminated the traditional Eastern Conference vs. "We're looking forward to putting on an entertaining show in L.A.", Paul said. Although the captains are divided by conference, they are not forced to pick players from the same conference as themselves.
